Wendy Williams was born on July 18, 1964, in Asbury Park, New Jersey. She was one of three children born to Thomas and Shirley Williams. She moved with her family at five years old from Asbury Park to the white collar class settings of Ocean Township, New Jersey, where she spent the remainder of her youth.
Her loud persona was the opposite of her older sister Wanda, a straight A student who went to Tufts University at 16 years old. Williams on the other hand was not a scholastic marvel. With her folks pushing her, Williams ended up engaged with some activities outside of school. She was a Girl Scout, played clarinet in the marching band and contended on her school swimming group. When it came time to choose a school, she emulated Wanda's example and migrated to Boston to go to Northeastern University, graduating in 1986 with a degree in communication and a minor in reporting.
Career
In the late spring of 2008, her TV exposure improved essentially with constant running of BET's The Wendy Williams Show. The program's feedback inspired producers to greenlight a full-scale run of the show. In November 2008, while waiting for the debut of her new program, Williams was enlisted into the National Radio Hall of Fame.
On July 13, 2009, Williams appeared her new TV program, the Wendy Williams Show. The show drew from her radio show's structure, blending in big name interviews and guidance to her audience.
Medical Issues
Williams has stayed consistent with being straightforward with guests and fans, particularly with regards to sharing her own medical problems. In 2017, she uncovered that she was managing Graves' disease, an immune system condition that prompts weakness, uneasiness and male pattern baldness, it is one reason she wears wigs.
In late February 2018, Williams reported that she was taking half a month off from the show to concentrate on her wellbeing. Soon thereafter she uncovered that she had endured a hairline break on her upper arm.
In January 2019, a representative for Williams uncovered that she would again need to take a break from TV subsequent to being hospitalized from inconveniences identified with her Graves' disease.
Relationships
Williams and her significant other Kevin Hunter had a child, Kevin Jr., in 2000. In April 2019, Williams sought legal separation from Hunter after about 22 years of marriage.
